They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. Here at delirium there are three main types of people; the cured, the uncured, and the invalids. The cured are people over 18 that have already gone through with the procedure. The uncured are under 18 and are at risk of catching the deliria (also known as love). If you caught it, it's up to you to either fight it or hide it because the authorities will do everything in their power to keep you safe, even if it means giving you the procedure early which may endanger your life. The invalids are those who have escaped and live out in the wilds. There are people trying to fight all of this (sympathizers) but there are also those who really believe in the cure and want to spread it no matter the risks (the members of dfa, deliria free america).
